Was killed in on the Cairo-Haifa train on 29th February 1948, along 27 other soldiers (30 injured). It was the worst rail attack on British forces in Palestine. The train was mined north of Rehovoth.
Burried at Ramleh War Cememtery, Plot 15, Row B, Grave 11.
